Our dogs go gophering daily. I caught them on video digging in a field near my window. They don’t catch a pocket gopher on this day but they dig furiously to create a bigger and deeper hole. I enjoy how they work together at different ends of a tunnel. Koty (short for Dakota) is a Norweigan Elk Hound; he’s the smaller dog and the most energetic digger. Montana is a Shepherd mix and the older dog. He gets pretty dirty himself, especially his snout. They work it and work it and suddenly they see something else such as a car coming down the road and they’re off.
