Inspiring sight – original Ford Engineering Lab

This building, designed by Albert Kahn and built in 1924, is adjacent to The Henry Ford. It represents a point in time when R&D was separated from the production facility at Highland Park. Research was set off on its own mission. This beautiful building is no longer in use. Above the name of the lab is an icon of agriculture. As Marc Greuther of HF pointed out, even the architecture of this building represents Ford’s own bridging the world of farms and factories. This building held the Google/Apple talent of its day.
